Ticketing Manager at Confederation of African Football (CAF)

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) was founded in 1957 by four nations: Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia and South Africa. As the administrative body of the region, CAF manages competitions, offers technical and administrative training courses while actively fostering the promotion and practice of football. The Confederation organizes championships such as the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN or AFCON), the most popular competition. It maintains very close links with FIFA in coordinating tournaments for different events such as the World Cup, Youth and Women competitions and the Olympic Games Football Tournaments.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Ticketing Manager

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a ticketing strategy that maximizes revenue and accessibility for fans. 
  • Ensure adherence to CAF ticketing policies and procedures. 
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints on ticketing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments within CAF to ensure a seamless ticketing experience.
  • Oversee the ticketing platform, ensuring its functionality, security, and user-friendliness. 
  • Lead the ticketing team in CAF and during competitions.  
  • Analyse ticket sales data and generate reports to identify trends and inform future strategies. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with event organizers, sponsors, and external ticketing vendors. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Management, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ticketing operations, preferably in the sports industry. 
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful ticketing strategies. 
  • Strong understanding of ticketing systems and technologies. 
  • A passion for football and a deep understanding of the African football landscape and CAF’s mission
  • Track record of providing leadership and direction to teams
  • Fluent in at least two of CAF Official languages (English, French and Arabic) both written and spoken is a must.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other modern IT tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Stakeholder management and Influencing skills.
